As part of the Swiss Economic Forum, UNICEF is showcasing designs by twelve contributing artists who have created futuristic visual worlds with the help of Artificial Intelligence (AI). You can take a closer look at some of the innovative results below.
Commissioned by UNICEF to create visual works using AI, the results — innovative, surprising, and powerful — open new visual perspectives. Above all, they're eye-catching, with ideas that arouse interest in a future where children grow up healthy and safe with access to quality education. Because whatever the future holds, it will need strong children. You can view the works on this website. 22 designs will be displayed on posters at the SEF in Interlaken.

/imagine [vernacular visions]
«Vernacular Visions» is our humble contribution to reflect on futurism and to open a dialogue about the dominant visions of progress. We aim to showcase solutions that can improve people’s lives today, such as pollution, education, global waste, or lack of access to culture. Through our project, we hope to encourage a more grounded and empathetic approach to the idea of futurism, one that centers the needs and experiences of real people and communities. The project comprises three distinct art pieces that reflect on different needs that we consider fundamental to improving tomorrow, with an optimistic perspective that aims to showcase current problems in contemporary society and imagine possible solutions with a glimpse of hope.

The Future of Education: Mobile Field Trips and Collaborative Learning
In the future, education will look very different from what we know today. Gone are the days of rigid curriculum and standardized tests. Instead, each group will decide for themselves what they want to learn, with the guidance of a team of expert teachers. With the help of advanced artificial intelligence, students will be able to research and discover new insights about the world around them. By embracing new technologies and adopting a more flexible and collaborative approach to learning, we can empower the next generation to create a brighter, more sustainable future for us all.
The Future of Education: A Device Connecting Kids and Their Pets for a Better Life
In the future of education, a new device will revolutionize the way children with special needs communicate with their pets. With the help of advanced artificial intelligence, the device will translate the pet's language into a format that the child can understand. This will enable children with autism or ADHD to better understand the needs of their pets and vice versa, leading to a more fulfilling and supportive relationship. The future of education is about providing innovative solutions that support the unique needs of every child.
