Aus besonderem Anlass spenden

Start your own fundraising campaign

Thank you for your interest in setting up a fundraising campaign. The fundraising campaigns are not available in English, therefore we kindly ask you to use one of the alternative languages available below:

German: Aus besonderem Anlass spenden
French: Faire un don pour une occasion particulière
Italian: Donare per un’occasione particolaire

Are you looking for a meaningful gift? With a UNICEF event donation you can start a fundraising campaign to celebrate a special occasion. Whether it's a birthday, a sports event with your friends, or in memory of someone special. Choose the occasion and join forces with your loved ones to collect donations for your personal project.

Would you like to help children in need? Do you want to play an active role in helping children around the world?

Or maybe it will soon be your birthday or wedding, and instead of gifts you would prefer to collect donations for children in need, together with your friends and family.

Find the perfect meaningful gift: You can start your own fundraiser for UNICEF to celebrate any special event. Whether on your own, or with your friends or colleagues – your campaign for a good cause is not only the perfect gift for every occasion, but also gives hope to children around the world. Encourage your social or professional circles to do something extraordinary and join hands to collect donations for children in need.

We show you how to start your fundraiser and help you with the individual steps to make sure that your project is successful.

1. Start a fundraising campaign:

Many occasions lend themselves to an event donation: birthdays, company events, sports events or celebrations. First choose a name for your fundraiser, define your donation target, and determine the purpose of the UNICEF donation. You can choose the beneficiary from a number of different UNICEF projects.

2. Share with friends and/or family:

The fundraiser can be very successful with the help of your contacts – whether among your friends or family, or at the office. Share your personal fundraiser with your social circle and make sure that it receives the attention it deserves.

3. Join hands to help children:

With the help of your network, you can reach your personal donation target. All collected donations go directly to the UNICEF project chosen by you. That way you can provide sustainable support to children in need!

We are happy to provide you with a UNICEF donation box that you can set up at your event. After the event, you can donate online the amount collected directly to the UNICEF program of your choice.  Please add the intended use and the address for the thank-you message.
For example:

Funeral donation

QR deposit slips are not usually available for funeral donations. However, you can still deposit funeral donations at a post office counter. All you need is our IBAN account number: CH88 0900 0000 8000 7211 9. If required, post office staff can also enter additional information for you, such as the name of the deceased person. The post office will forward this information to UNICEF so that we can allocate the funeral donation.

Of course! We are happy to provide you with a UNICEF donation box that you can set up at your event. After the event, you can donate online the amount collected directly to the UNICEF program/topic of your choice.

UNICEF has more than 75 years of experience in development cooperation and emergency response, and works in more than 150 countries to improve living conditions for children and enforce their rights. UNICEF is committed to ensuring that children can survive and grow up safely. Its key tasks include implementing programs in the areas of health, nutrition, education, water and hygiene, and protecting children from abuse, exploitation and violence.

All donations paid in by you go directly to UNICEF projects for a topic of your choice and provide lasting support to children in need. With your help, UNICEF can effectively make sure that children have a good life – everywhere in the world, even in the most remote regions where nobody ever goes and in areas where there is war.

UNICEF runs many projects aimed at ensuring that even the most disadvantaged children can go to school and have access to clean water and medical supplies. Thank you for supporting UNICEF with your fundraiser!

After the event, you can donate online the amount collected directly to the UNICEF program/topic of your choice.

You can find our most important programs/topics on our website. You can donate the money collected on the website for the individual program. But if you start your own fundraiser online here, you can only use the collected donations for a specific topic rather than for a specific country: child protection, education, emergency relief fund and survival.

For donations of 20 francs or more, you will receive a donation receipt by mail the following January, which you can enclose with your tax return. Donations to UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein are tax-deductible in all cantons.

If you pay the collected amount online on the website of the selected program, you can use Twint, a QR payment slip, credit card, PayPal and PostFinance.
