UNICEF works in 191 countries and territories and implements programs in over 150 countries to provide lasting improvements to the living conditions of all children. As one of 34 national committees, we at UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein support programs in more than 30 countries worldwide. For this, UNICEF works closely with international and local NGOs, known as implementing partners.
For our readers in Switzerland and Liechtenstein
UNICEF Switzerland and Liechtenstein works to ensure that children and young people at every level in Switzerland and Liechtenstein are protected, nurtured and given an opportunity to participate. We provide information, raise awareness on topics involving children’s rights and analyze government action. Through studies and projects, we also draw attention to gaps in the implementation of the Convention on the Rights of the Child and integrate them at federal levels on the basis of recommendations and requirements.
